RGV’s Satya (1998) | Re-Written to Learn

SATYA:Re-Written

All the points listed below is purely my understanding and learning from RGV’s Satya movie and has nothing to do with original movie. If any of the below points create disgrace to RGV garu or to any of the Satya movie team I convey my regrets as this is not my intention…Rasool Oruganti

Concept:

Ø  The story between a gangster-turned politician and his two mentees who started their own gangs after he moved to politics. The story runs on the background of human emotions which are not exceptional for gangsters.

Ø  The story of a person who believes in survival of the fittest. The story is about his journey with a gangster and with a girl who stays in his opposite flat.

Ø  However an original face is thrown to a corner with a secondary face for the survival, the actual struggle starts when he is not able to show is original face as his love was impressed with is secondary face.

Ø  However care we take for personal life; it is our professional life that defines personal life.

Ø  No human can know everything about the other however close they are. The extent we can understand the other purely depends on the extent the opposite express in front of us.

Story:

The human relations like husband, father, lover, friend, guru are shown in the gangsters who are working in groups for their existence. The story runs with a principle to show that a gun that is aimed at public and made them cry, one fine day will be aimed at them and made them cry. In order to make them cry love, friendship and betrayal were used.

 Characters:

Protagonist:  In this movie, the story revolves around 3 important characters: Satya, Bheeku & Vidhya

Satya: He is orphan. He is silent, introvert and doesn’t like others involving in his tasks.  He observes people, will think and reacts accordingly. He won’t involve in others but will react to anyone who tries to disturb him. He is strong enough to fight back 1 or 2 but he is smart enough to create confidence that he can stand against any number. He loves very few but very strongly.

Bheeku:  One of the top gangsters in the city. He behaves as if he has seen everything and reached this top position in gang wars. He acts more than he thinks; he talks more than he acts. He believes in people very easily as he don’t have patience to analyze them. He is extrovert, very bold and believes that he can go against any number of people.  He has lovable family, gang and a good friend who he believes, loves & respect.

Vidhya:  She has a very small world with aged & deceased parents where small things are part of her happiness as well as sadness. She looks simple, talks simple, lives simple and even believes others simply thinking only within the simple world she lives. This attitude created her peaceful life still she comes to know that behind that simple world there are more complicated people who acts as simple.

Antagonist:  In this story, there are 3 important characters that are rival to protagonists: Police, Guru, and Bhau.

Police: They want to cut down gangsters in the city. Some have tied up with gangsters where some want to tie the gangsters to graveyard. Some high level officer’s wants to deal this issue with humanity where some want to go beyond the rules to cut down the gangsters.

Guru: He is an old friend of Bheeku, who currently maintains separate gang. He is an opportunist, in the process of his work/growth he gives up or uses old relations.  He looks into his own work with a plan to expand his area, however if somebody disturbs him/his gang he will kill them even breaking the rules created within gangsters.

Bhau: He is the ex-leader of Bheeku and Guru, who currently moved into politics. He is selfish, who uses the emotions of his men who currently maintaining separate gangs for his political growth. He is such a shameless person who goes to any extent from threatening to begging, scolding to praising, caring to killing in order to attain his tasks. He is cruel enough to kill his own men after using them who are more clever or stronger than him.

Protagonist Supporters:

BheekuWife: She is very clear and straight forward woman. She is very good wife who loves her husband very much. Very nice mother who takes care of children and family, however Bheeku is busy in gang work/ going to jail. She might have grown up within the environment of bold, open minded people, hence she behaves freely, talks openly with full of confidence and boldness. She is very jovial just like Bheeku but will be more responsible and caring towards family

Kallu mama: Every one respects him for his age, friendliness and well thinking. Compared to all men in the gang he has more patience and has more experience in dealing people. He goes per situations and sometimes changes his mind according to his gang. He plays safe game and also loves his gang members very much.

Chander: On hearing and seeing different people, from his childhood he was very much interest in gang fights and gangsters.  He is not that much brave enough to involve in gang fights, but like to move within the gang. He believes, loves and respects Bheeku. For him Bheeku and the gang is the only world. He has a family, and believes Bheeku will take care of him. He is very jovial, live the life happily without any future tensions.

Yeda: He is a strong & the most dedicated member of Bheeku gang. He thinks and bothers only about the work and the people in the gang. Even if he interacts or maintain relation with other people it will be linked with work only.

Bhapu: He work and also maintains relations with people to the extent he want. He enjoys the life parallel with work. He will work for the team only to the extent.

Antagonist Supporters:

Jagga Bhai: He works for Guru one of the leading gangster in the city. He looks into activities like collecting money from all the shops in the area that belongs to Guru. He maintains small gang under him to share the work. He is short tempered, overconfident, egoist, and opportunist.

Sub Inspector: Khandilker is very clear on his stand against gangsters. He believes in encountering these gangsters, however sometimes due to his supervisors he needs to simply file the case on them. He is so much angry on gangsters, that he has taken Satya & Bheeku case personally after the death of his trainer cum supervisor.

Commissioner: Amod Sukla with his experience on working against gangsters and with his own leaders, he manages to bring shoot-out on gangsters. He is very clear in what he is doing and opens enough to tell that to required people.

Converters:

Mule: He is lawyer. He is aged but due to week body he won’t looks aged. He understand/study the people, situations and moves accordingly (we can see the difference in his behavior when he is with Bheeku and Bhau gang).
