As a person
who always feels the energy and refreshes myself in sir.RGV’s air which is full
of thoughts, I am getting energized and thrilled on listening and reading his points
and views on his making of “The attacks of 26/11”. He said “shock to grieve, fear
to feeling helpless on what’s its happening again; I think different emotions I
am getting from people who have seen emotions in film” but I am getting those
emotions just by listening or reading his views on emotions he captured in the
film. As I have been hearing the word
emotion from sir.RGV in his interviews and tweets about the film “The Attacks of 26/11”, I have tried to interpret
the emotions of the26/11 attacks affected people.
My heart full of thanks to RAM GOPAL VARMA garu for giving me The Attacks of 26/11 to learn Cinema--Rasool Oruganti
Note: I don't
know or have any personal information about 26/11 attacks and my complete
interpretation is based on the information I understood from sir.RGV’s
interviews and tweets. As a strong learner/follower of RGV I tried to write my
understanding on his way of capturing emotions and have nothing to do with the
film “The attacks of 26/11”.
Kasab and gang taking over the Indian boat:
When Mumbai is
too normal with its as usual life style with roads full of traffic sound &
air pollution, people busy in running with their work, there is a very pleasant
appearance of sea with its natural sound. Here and there some boats are sailing
on its work, in one such boat few people will be talking. The way they talk show
their cool presence of their mind, when one is praying to the idol which is
placed in his boat, the other will be making a comedy by telling on what he has
done last night. Some other will be seriously thinking about how to gather
money for his home needs. When everyone is busy with their thoughts and also feeling
the energy in the sea breeze, a boat approached near to their boat seeking
their help.
No one at
that moment might not have felt, that they are allowing not a human boat near
them but a boat which is full of mad dogs.
On
understanding the situation after seeing that number of people getting into
their boat, the owner of the boat who has prayed to GOD before that might started
requesting a help from the GOD. But, no one can ever say what GOD is
thinking on the humans who he has created. I don't know what he might
have thought of GOD on seeing his fellow people getting killed by them but he
might have understood that his turn is very near. Once he comes to know that he
will also get killed the first thing he might have thought is about his family.
In a helpless situation, he might have again recalled GOD to take care of his
family. I believe before his death he might have felt very bad that because of
his boat only that these people are getting into Mumbai and they are going to
do a big loss. Hence, at that time the patriot in him definitely
tried to stop that people even though he knows it is not possible.
How Kasab
was in his own boat, how was he when he is nearing to some Indian boat, how was
he after taking over the Indian boat? It would take too much time for me to
analyze a person like Kasab; hence I have taken the words of my philosopher sir.RGV
who says that “Kasab is a cross of a
child and a mad dog”. All my interpretation on Kasab dealing with the
situations is done considering him as a child with mad dog attitude.
I think
Kasab might be used as a weapon not more than that, which means there might be
a person who will be directing them or taking them to the spot where they will
be used. In this case, when they are in their own boat, Kasab will be simply
sitting as there would be some other person who will look into taking him onto
Indian boat and then to the spot where they have to attack. When he is not working
(killing) the child in him might be awaken which makes him enjoy each &
everything around him. Hence, when he is on boat he might have enjoyed the view
of the sea while taking-in the pleasant breeze from sea. But, when his mentor
told them to be alert as they were taking over Indian Boat, the
mad nature in Kasab might have alerted in such a way that he should have been
the first person to kill the people in Indian Boat. I have a doubt he
should have become normal and started enjoying once they have completely taken
over the Indian boat.
As sir.RGV
said that “Nana Patekars role is based on
Mr.Rakesh Maria and he is only playing the emotion of Maria during attacks time”,
I would like to interpret the emotions of a person who is in charge of complete
police force during 26/attacks. I don't know or have any personal information
about 26/11 attacks and my complete interpretation is based on the information
I understood from sir.RGV’s interviews and tweets. Hence, I will start looking
police in charge in the name of Nana Patekar who played that role in the
upcoming movie “the attacks of 26/11”.
What might
be the mood of Nana when he is in house, how it changed when he come to know
about the attacks, how he is on looking at the continuous attacks?
When a
person who deals with law & order of a large group of people around 2 core populations
when having a bath might be feeling little relaxed. Though his mind is running
around his continuous list of actions, he tries to recall some information on
what he has discussed with his wife in his previous meet with her and tries to
become a family man for some period. When he is about to recall his family
information while having bath, his wife might have knocked the door pushing him
back to office by telling him that he got a call from office. While dressing up to have dinner he might
have considered that the call from office is some casual call, but he sensed
the seriousness in something that has went wrong on hearing that all his phones
mobile, landline and office phone have rung at a time. I am not sure after
he heard the information from office did he had seen the situations in the TV
or he started running towards office, whatever, from the time he come to know to
the time he is in office in between that period his mind have been running in
getting info where it has happened, what it has happened, who has done, who
from the department are available there or who is in action of controlling
that, how it is happening, is that severe or controllable, Is force sufficient or
not, what are they fighting with and what are they fighting for and many more questions
and many more calls to get answers for his questions and many more calls posing
questions to him from different parts of city, state and also country. By the
time he reached office he might be with some calculation to face the attacks
but when he sees that attacks are increasing and that too it’s happening in
different locations, he might be in a confused shocking state where the dialogue
from Nana in the film perfectly apt “I am not saying whether we can do or we
cannot do, I am saying I don't know what to do”
What sir.RGV
has said “shock to grieve, fear to feeling helpless on what’s its happening again,
I think different emotions I am getting from people who have seen emotions in
film” is absolutely true because I am shivering by just imagining the situation
of the people who are in the respective places during that attacks, as PURI
JAGAN garu said “Who else on the Indian movie arena can dare to venture and narrate it to
the levels of such emotional excellence ... but 'RGV'” JAI HO to sir.RGV
The Leopold Cafe
a popular restaurant and bar was the first site where terrorists attacked with
gunfire and granite. Generally, people goes to bar to relax by sharing
happiness or sorrow with people with whom they went or with the drink they are
having. I think most of them in that place
would have never expected that such type of place will be the site for
terrorists and that too first site to attack. When we are in kick our level of expressions
will be high, but when attacks happened so suddenly and that too when we are in
very high pleasant mood recalling of many things which we have done and dreaming
of many things which are planning to do, aahhh
the F__KING as holes what the hell we did wrong to them, why the hell he should
shred our dreams and take away our happiness???? In fractions of seconds everything is full of red not the color of
wine but the color of blood with full of bullets on that. But did they
stopped the spirit of Indians, no and never, once the Leopold Cafe was reopen the
person who was there in that cafe during the attacks came back and said he came
to complete his beer. Jai ho to him and sir.RGV who spread this
positive spirit of that fellow in his interviews and also in his coming movie “The
Attacks of 26/11”.
Railway
station is the place where a person who was fully F__K_D with his work in the
office will be slowly coming back to his personal life by start thinking about
his family/friends during waiting for his train. Many people will be eagerly
waiting dreaming of what they are going to do with his loved ones whom he/she
has been meeting after a long time. A child who is new to that fully
crowded place and don't know where her parents are taking her will be spending
time by glancing around. In order to make her feel comfortable during that
waiting for their train, her parents will ask and give her what all she likes, with
extreme happy in that occasion of eating whatever she likes that child will be
spending time there. Even if a person
with gun stands in front of that child she might be enjoying the attire of that
person and will not fear of him until she comes to know that people around her are
dying, crying, running just by the actions of that mad person. Why,
why, what normal public and innocent children like that girl did wrong to this
society why they should get killed and why GOD is creating or sparing that mad
people who are taking lives of such innocent people..
Police who
are in very normal mood just doing their routine duty of going in rounds may have never thought that in their life
time as per their designation they needs to fight highly armed mad people.
Iam not sure on how or with what policies our police system works, but that police
who have attacked the terrorist by throwing stones at them is incredible.
They know that they are not armed, they know
they don't have bullet proof jackets, they know that they are not trained to
face that type of situations but still but still they have not turned back or
ran away with public who trying to escape from that attacks, they have
taken brave decision and started fighting the terrorists with all their courage
with all the equipment they can get at that time like stones. Hats off to them
and Hats off to sir.RGV who have spread this positive attitude through his
interviews on his upcoming film “The attacks of 26/11” where he has captured
this braveness.
The police inspector
who has been crossing all the hurdles with his small riffle and finally
reaching close to the mad man Kasab, does he thought anything about his family during
that fight? What a braveness, what a
courage, what a dedication…. he is very normal human being like a middle class
husband to a wife, a son to a mother just like us when he is not in duty but no relational emotion has stopped him in
capturing Kasab. He knows his
equipment is not sufficient to stop Kasab but he believed in his commitment,
love on India and moved ahead, even bullets ran into him he has never given up
in stopping Kasab, until his last breathe he hold Kasab tightly still other police
surrounded Kasab….I am sure we have very few people in this generation
who are so dedicated to their duty and who love India so much. Thanks a lot to sir.RGV who is bringing his
story in his upcoming film “The attacks of 26/11”.
As I am thinking about the emotions of the
people who have suffered the attacks of 26/11 and how my guru has captured them
in the movie “The Attacks of 26/11”, Now
itself while writing I am feeling different emotions as my guru said “He said
“shock to grieve, fear to feeling helpless on what’s its happening again; I
think different emotions I am getting from people who have seen emotions in
film” and I am not sure how I may feel while watching film “The attacks of
26/11”.
I would like
to thank sir.RGV who has said that “The attacks of 26/11 were recreated to the
nearest extent possible in the film The Attacks of 26/11” so that on seeing
that film, persons like me will get inspired by the spirit of the people who had
fought the 26/11 attacks, who have recovered from that attacks.
